STAV provides an annual series of conference and professional development opportunities (face to face and virtual) that support Science educators.

Publications
STAV designs, develops and distributes primary and secondary publications and resources to support science teachers and students. STAV also produces professional journals – Lets Find Out (Primary Science) & Lab Talk (Secondary Science) and VCE electronic and paper trial exams for VCE Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Psychology.
Science Talent Search
The Science Talent Search (STS) is an annual, school-based science competition open to all primary and secondary students in Victoria, Australia. Science Talent Search fits closely with the Victorian Curriculum philosophy of teaching and learning and learning areas.
The theme for 2022 is Glass: More than meets the eye.
